Abbywood Resort

Cabins are old and small. The queen beds are comfortable. The smaller beds are like trampolines and hard. At 175 for a night, I think it's a little spendy for these cabins. Owners are very nice and helpful. They stopped by at least once a day to see how we were doing. We saw the northern lights while we were there. I would come back.

Owners are awesome, helpful, down to earth people. Super laid back place. Definitely coming back. Cabin was well maintained. Wife and I lived out of it for four nights no problem. Amazing lake with an insane amount of fish. Fish finder looks like it’s having a seizure with the amount of fish and structure. Awesome fishing right off the resort, then turn a corner and it’s just a portal to another lake world to explore with more great fishing. Just a heads up if you bring your boat- don’t pull into the entrance and go left where the store is- you’ll have to turn around in a tight spot- on google maps it looks like the road goes through to the launch- it doesn’t.

This Resort/campground is small and very quiet. The owners took over ownership 2 yrs. ago so they are slowly making progress. The cabins are small and older but in ok condition. Who needs new? And why be in a cabin when there is within ft of the lake. There is a grill for each cabin. A portable fire pit that you can use. But you have to buy their bundles of wood. They have a picnic table and 2 chairs at each cabin. The campground has water, sewer and electric hookups. The only downfall is that you don't get any lakeside to sit and watch the water. I would love to go back next year.

This year was our first year at Abbywood Resort. When we arrived we were greeted very warmly. The owner (Nikki) told me about various things at the resort. They provide a nice area to sit by the lake and relax. They told us where we could dock our boat. The other owner (Fred) was on hand to help us get our camper parked and leveled. This whole week has been very relaxing. We felt welcome at all times. The fishing was good. We caught alot of sunfish. We have already booked our stay for next year!

We just spent a week at Abbywood Resort. It is a great place for family fun ! The beach is awesome, the fishing was great and our cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable with great bedding New owners are very friendly and helpful for all our needs !

Had an amazing time at Abbywood Resort with my family! My little boy got to hunt for rocks in the crystal clear lake and he found some really pretty ones! My man caught a fish and we all had a great time hanging out on the docks and beach watching the sun set! We lucked out and had a beautifully clear night with a bright moon to do some star gazing. Got to see the big dipper The cabin we stayed in was adorable! Had everything we needed for our stay! There was enough room for the three of us. One room for our 5 year old, a couch, table and a queen bed for the two of us. They were sooooo comfy!!! The owner is a really nice man and was really sweet to our little boy. He rode around on a hot pink golf cart It was kind of awesome. I would definitely go there again and plan to!!!

Owners are friendly and amazing hosts. Great locations very well run! We came in for the weekend for a fishing tournament on Dead Lake and they were amazing with getting our boats parked and working with us to get us anything we needed. Great place for a weekend of fishing on a great fishing lake.

Fred & Nikki are always so friendly. We love going here. We are a stones throw from the water & it's perfect. The cabins are simple but everything we need. Gas station & bar about five miles away & a grocery, liquor & $ store less than 10 miles away. There are also food options in the area for those who don't want to cook. This was our fifth visit in four years. They have kayaks to use & boats to rent. Our true north happy place.
